We are witnessing today the breakdown of the family in the Muslim world. This is because we have fallen short in adhering to the Sharia (Islamic law) of Allah Almighty. Islam places great importance on the family because the disintegration of the family leads to the disintegration of society. This book addresses some matters that the head of the household should guide his family to implement. The Sheikh (Islamic scholar) also mentions means of Dawah (calling to Islam) within the family. Furthermore, he discusses the etiquette and rights that are obligatory upon every Da’i (caller to Islam) within his family, and indeed upon every leader towards his people. These include: providing for them financially, teaching them the matters of their religion, treating them well, showing them affection and playing with them, defending them, refraining from harshness and severity towards them, and avoiding being absent from them unnecessarily.
The Sheikh also highlights the issue of a man being tested by his family and provides remedies for this
