Among the blessings that Allah – Almighty – has bestowed upon His servants is that He made easy for them the straight path: reading and writing. Therefore, the Sheikh elaborated in this book, starting with the interest of the predecessors in reading and explaining its importance. Then he explained how to engage in conscious reading and mentioned the reasons for aversion to reading and seeking knowledge and its treatment. He concluded by explaining the methods and types of reading. He guides us to the best way to acquire books and build our own libraries, and also talks about electronic books.
